ENGL& 111 Introduction to Literature

Introduction to literature and its power to reflect and transform lives, focusing on the development of reading strategies; the recognition of genres, formal conventions, and cultural context; and the analysis of literary works using textual and contextual evidence. Emphasis is placed on the impact that power and privilege have on how literary works are created, disseminated, and received.
