HUM& 101 Introduction to the Humanities

An interdisciplinary introduction to the Humanities as they raise questions of meaning, value, and significance and probe, transmit, and critique the experiences of humanity. Also explores the Humanities as a primary vehicle of cultural memory. The Humanities are those disciplines, such as history, art, music, philosophy, and literature, that employ interpretive, non-quantitative methodologies to express the human condition in all of its diversity. Emphasizes reading, critical thinking, and writing skills.
