MATH 104 Gateway to Precalculus
College algebra course for students needing support in MATH& 141. Designed to be taken concurrently with MATH& 141. Topics include: using integer exponent rules and rational exponents to simplify expressions; writing equations of lines; simplifying and performing operations on polynomial, rational, radical, exponential, and logarithmic expressions; solving a variety of linear and nonlinear equations, inequalities, and systems; factoring polynomials; constructing, interpreting, and analyzing graphs; demonstrating understanding of functions, function notation, and relations; solving applications algebraically; communicating effectively in mathematical language.
Prerequisite
Completion of
MATH 96 with a C- or higher. This course must be taken concurrently with MATH& 141.
