Welding Certificate

Overview

Welding Certificate (WETWEC20) Active: F 2020

Welding Certificates are stackable

This Welding Certificate is the culmination of working to obtain lower-level welding certifications. Those lower-level Welding certificates are designed to create a guided pathway from the student’s first quarter through their final quarter with the EvCC Welding Program. These lower-level certificates stack to become the Certificate in Welding. The Welding Certificate then stacks into the Welding ATA degree and a High School diploma. Upon completion of this certificate, the student will have demonstrated the equivalent of 1 year’s experience in the metal trades.

The Welding Department often offers credit for knowledge gained through work experience in welding-related fields. If students have industry experience, they may be eligible for credit through a prior experiential learning portfolio. More information on AMTEC prior learning portfolios is available on the EvCC ACPL website.
