SOC 240 Social Psychology

Social psychology is the scientific study of the way individuals think, feel and behave in social situations. It applies the scientific method of systematic observation, description, and measurement to the study of individuals in various social situations. Theories and research include person perception, attraction, aggression, altruism, attitudes and attribution. Also offered as PSYC 240. Credit may not be earned in both SOC 240 and PSYC 240.

Prerequisite

Completion of PSYC& 100 OR SOC& 101 or equivalent with a C or higher, AND eligibility for ENGL& 101.
