Professional and Technical Programs

Everett Community College offers short-term training, stackable certificates, and associate’s degrees in a wide range of high-demand fields. These programs are designed to prepare students for immediate employment or to advance within their current careers.

All professional-technical programs include occupation-specific coursework alongside training in workplace technology, communication, and human relations. Programs are regularly updated with input from advisory committees made up of industry representatives from both management and labor, ensuring coursework reflects current skills and employer expectations.

In addition to our industry partners, EvCC works closely with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Employment Security Department, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Workforce Snohomish, and local community organizations to support workforce training, retraining, and skills upgrades. The college also works with labor organizations to provide apprenticeship training in several fields.

While the primary focus of professional-technical education is employment readiness, many programs have transfer agreements with other colleges and universities. Students may also be able to apply their credits toward a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree. BAS degrees are four-year programs designed specifically for students with a professional-technical background and offered at several community and technical colleges in Washington State.
