Drops for Nonpayment

Students may be dropped from classes due to missing the payment deadline, according to Everett Community College’s drop for non-payment procedure. The drop for non-payment occurs when enrolled students do not pay their EvCC account balance for an academic quarter.  Students are dropped for non-payment beginning the day after the tuition deadline and continuing weekly through the 10th day of the quarter, which is called the census date.

Students who do not pay tuition and fees may be dropped from their registered and waitlisted classes unless:

  • The outstanding balance is $100 or less

  • The student is enrolled in a payment plan and payments are up-to-date for the current term.

  • The student has a tuition hold placed by an EvCC department for the specific quarter that will prevent them from getting dropped.

Students must not assume they will be dropped from a class if they fail to pay tuition. Students are responsible for dropping their class(es) by the set deadlines to avoid receiving a failing grade or incurring debt.

EvCC does not drop students for non-payment past census. Students that enroll in classes after the census will not be dropped for non-payment.
