Advising
Everett Community College advisors partner with students to identify the necessary courses and steps to accomplish goals while using resources efficiently. Students are expected to meet with an advisor and to use printed and online resources to understand requirements and monitor progress.
Advising is mandatory for most new students. Steps to academic success include: 1) Select a pathway, 2) Meet with an Entry Advisor prior to first quarter registration, 3) Enroll in a College Success class your first quarter unless this requirement was waived during Entry Advising, 4) Establish a relationship with your assigned Program Advisor in your first quarter and continue to get advising.
Entry Advisors are available in Rainier Hall, Room 108, and online via Zoom for entry advising, interpreting placement results, and assistance with first-quarter registration. Full-time and senior associate faculty serve as program advisors to current students. Students who would like additional support with career guidance and exploration are encouraged to seek support through the Counseling and Student Success office or consider taking the 2 credit H DEV 110, Career and Life Planning course.
