Tuition and Fees

Quarterly Tuition and Fees 2026 - 2027

All rates are subject to change. Current rates are posted on EvCC’s website at EverettCC.edu/Tuition. Tuition and fees are paid at the time of registration or by the deadline stated for that registration period.

If you are receiving financial aid from the college or have a third party paying your tuition and fees, please contact the Cashiers Office directly to ensure the accuracy of your student account. Every year, state legislation determines EvCC's tuition rates, which are then officially approved by our Board of Trustees.

Students who are not eligible for resident tuition but who are permanent residents or citizens of the U.S. living in Washington may be eligible for the Non-Resident Tuition Reduction Waiver. Additionally, tuition for enrollment in Transitional Studies and English Language Acquisition is $25 per quarter.

Understanding Tuition and Fee Breakdowns

Tuition and fees refer to full general tuition, operating fees, service and activities fees, technology fees, class fees, self-supporting class fees, and lab fees. Please note that some fees are non-refundable. The information below outlines current tuition rates and mandatory student fees at Everett Community College. EvCC follows the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) tuition policies. When you look up your charges in ctcLink, you may see your tuition broken down into the following components:

Resident Student Tuition

Most classes charge the following standard fees as part of your base tuition:

  • Operating Fee: Supports general school operations and instruction.
  • Building Fee: Supports campus infrastructure, maintenance, and innovation. (Charged for both in-person and online classes).
  • S&A Fee: The Services and Activities fee covers student programming, clubs, and campus events.

Non-Resident Student Tuition

Non-resident students will see additional differential charges as part of state policy:

  • Non-Resident Operating Fee: You will see the base 'Operating Fee' as well as an 'Operating Fee Diff' (the price difference between the resident and non-resident rate).
  • Non-Resident Building Fee: You will see the base 'Building Fee' along with the non-resident differential charge.

Miscellaneous Fees

Per SBCTC Policy, miscellaneous student fees are collected from students to cover the cost of certain services. At Everett Community College, there are four mandatory miscellaneous fees you will see in ctcLink:

  • eLearning Support Fee: All class modalities include a $3.30 per credit fee to support the use of Canvas, web-based tools, and our eLearning support staff.
  • Student Campus Enhancement Fee: $5 per credit (up to a $50 maximum per quarter). Voted in by students in 2007, this covers Student Fitness Center access and other campus enhancement projects. It is managed by a student committee.
  • Technology Fee: $4.50 per credit (up to a $45 maximum per quarter). Voted in by students in 2004, this covers open student computer labs, student email, campus Wi-Fi, and technical upgrades. It is managed by a student committee and can only be increased with ASB Senate approval.
  • Green Fee: $0.50 per credit (not to exceed $7.50 per quarter). Voted in by students in 2018, this funds environmental and sustainability projects on campus, giving the student body a direct voice in our sustainability efforts.
