ART 224 Contemporary Movements

Development and spread of Modernism since the early 20th century and subsequent movements in the art to the present day. Includes a survey of modernist theory and criticism, issues of gender and multiculturalism, and their effect on art. Includes such movements as Cubism, Abstract Expressionism, and Postmodernism. Previous enrollment in Art 124D recommended. Sequential order preferred.
