ART 242 Printmaking III
Intermediate course focused on advanced skills, principles, techniques and methods of printmaking. Relating the vocabulary of printmaking to the press, inks, paper treatment, and basic skills in the entire print process using ecologically safe materials. Students create a body of work that incorporates advanced techniques including multiple plate printing and chine colle/collage. Projects develop aesthetic style and attend to the students¿ understanding of art making as applicable to printmaking.
