ART H 220 Western Art History: Anct/Medv
Survey of art from ancient foundations to the 14 th century in Europe. Topics and issues of art history as relevant to the formation of styles, methods of construction, and the role of the artist in early civilization. Includes study of the cultures of Egypt, Ancient Greece, Rome, and Early Christian. Introduction to the analysis of imagery and the methods and practice of art history. Recommend previous enrollment in Art 124D. Sequential order preferred.
