ART H 224 Modern and Contemporary Art

Development and spread of Modernism since the early 20th century and subsequent movements in the art to the present day. Includes a survey of modernist theory and criticism, issues of gender and multiculturalism, and their effect on art. Includes such movements as Cubism, Abstract Expressionism, and Postmodernism. Previous enrollment in ART H 124 recommended.
