Trojan Athletics and Recreation

Everett Community College is one of 37 community colleges from across the Pacific Northwest competing in the Northwest Athletic Conference. Since competitive sports began at Everett Junior College back in 1946, over 9,000 student-athletes have donned the Red and represented the Trojans in athletic competition.

In a long history of success, there have been 65 regional championship teams to go with over 160 teams and individual NWAC Champions. Today, over 170 student-athletes compete for Everett Community College across 11 different men’s and women’s varsity sport programs.

The Walt Price Student Fitness Center

The Walt Price Student Fitness Center is the hub for student health and recreation. Located at 2206 Tower Street, just steps from the Everett Transit Center’s College Station, our 49,000-square-foot facility is designed to support fitness, recreation, and wellness goals.

The center features:

Classrooms for physical education and health programs
A full-size gym with retractable bleacher seating for 2,250 spectators
A cardio and weight training room
An indoor running track
A rock climbing wall
A multi-purpose room
Offices for athletic coaches, faculty, and recreational support staff

Intramural Sports and Access

We also have several intramural/recreational sport opportunities like basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball, and badminton. Intramural sports are free to play and do not require a commitment. Just drop in and play! A current quarter schedule of activities can be found on the EvCC website.

Currently enrolled students, faculty, classified staff, and union-represented exempt staff may use the fitness center for free, and will use their EvCC ID card or ctcLink number to sign in at the front desk. Alumni and community members may also use the fitness center for a quarterly fee. Current pricing for membership can also be found on the EvCC website.

Student Housing

Live the ultimate college life steps from class in Everett Community College’s two secure and convenient residence halls, Mountain View Hall and Cedar Hall. These housing options are open to all students and are designed to be more affordable than local rental and utility rates, with a single price covering fully furnished units, all utilities, and wireless internet. Maximize your time and studies with halls located less than a five-minute walk from the library, computer labs, the Walt Price Student Fitness Center, and the bus line.

Students can choose the ideal arrangement for their comfort and privacy: Mountain View Hall offers 120 rooms with a private room and private bathroom, while Cedar Hall provides 132 beds across studio, three-, or four-bedroom apartment styles. Both halls remain open year-round, including during breaks and holidays.

As a resident, you will enjoy great community amenities, including laundry space, bike storage, an indoor community room, and a shared outdoor space in a gated first-floor courtyard. A strong support system is in place with live-in staff, including student resident assistants and two full-time assistant directors, plus 24/7 EvCC Campus Safety & Security officers available to assist students. Students living on campus can also participate in exclusive resident activities.

Student LIFE

Student LIFE stands for Leadership, Inclusion, Fun, and Engagement. We provide opportunities for student leadership development, engagement, and governance, offering ways to build new skills, connect with friends, make your voice heard, and help shape campus life.

Student Government

As a student at Everett Community College (EvCC), you’re automatically part of the Associated Student Body (ASB). That means your voice is your power! By getting involved in student government, you can share your opinions on things that matter to students here at EvCC and even on statewide issues. It’s a great way to speak up and make a difference.

There are two branches of the Student Government. The Executive Council helps with daily planning and decisions. The ASB Senate is where students come together to talk, share ideas, and vote on important topics, including helping decide how student fees are spent. These include the Services and Activities Fee, Student Technology Fee (E-Tech), the Student Campus Enhancement Fee, and the Green Fee.

E-Tech: Supports student technology enhancement on campus, which includes items such as the funding of a computer replacement cycle for open computer labs on campus and reduced computer lab fees.
Student Campus Enhancement Fee: Supports the creation and improvement of non-instructional spaces for students.
Green Fee: Supports student-driven sustainability projects on campus.

Associated Student Body Documents

Several documents guide the organization and functioning of the ASB, such as the ASB Constitution and by-laws, S&A Fees Financial Code & Budget, E-Tech Financial Code & Budget, and the Trojan Activities Board by-laws. Copies of these documents can be obtained at EverettCC.edu/ASB.

Trojan Activities Board

The Trojan Activities Board (TAB) is a team of student leaders dedicated to creating free, in-person events and activities for you on campus. TAB hosts many types of events based on student feedback to help you feel connected and build community beyond the classroom. Whether you’re interested in live entertainment, workshops, guest speakers, arts and crafts, or festivals, TAB has something for you. We hope to see you at an upcoming event!

Student Ambassador Program

The Student LIFE Ambassador Program is a leadership opportunity for students who are dedicated to serving and representing Everett Community College. Student LIFE Ambassadors work at the Student LIFE front desk, provide campus tours, and perform duties at various Student LIFE and EvCC events.

Student Clubs/Organizations

A lot of college life happens outside of the classroom. That’s why EvCC proudly offers more than 30 student clubs and organizations for you to explore interests, make friends, learn something new, and—most of all—have fun. Co-Curricular and College-Related Programs

Student LIFE also provides opportunities to further enhance and expand upon the learning that occurs in the classroom with activities and programs outside the classroom. Student activity fees help to support the costs of these activities and programs.

The Associated Students, through the S&A Fees budget, provide funding to support a variety of programs at EvCC, such as Global Engagement, Tutoring Center, Writing Center, BRIDGES Center, The Clipper (student newspaper), Vibrations (student art magazine), and the Russell Day Gallery. These fees also fully support Athletics and intramural sports at EvCC. Student LIFE also plans the annual commencement celebration.

Student Identification Card

A student ID card is available at no cost for currently registered EvCC students at the front desk of Student LIFE, Parks 209. There is a charge for replacement ID cards.

You must pick up your card in person, including students taking classes online, at Aviation Maintenance, or Cosmetology. Your student ID card may be used in a variety of ways:

Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook

The Everett Community College Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook contains information about student rights and responsibilities. The handbook provides a detailed description of rights and responsibilities as they pertain to the students, the college, and the community, as well as the Student Code of Conduct, procedures for disciplinary actions, procedures to ensure student rights and due process, grievance processes, and the jurisdiction of college personnel. The handbook is available online at EverettCC.edu/StudentHandbook.

CARE Team

Everett Community College is committed to promoting a supportive, safe, and engaging campus community. In response, it is the responsibility of each person within EvCC to join in supporting an environment that is positive for all community members. EvCC has a CARE team to help students who are experiencing challenges or exhibiting behavior that is raising concerns here at EvCC. If you are experiencing challenges or are concerned for another student who may have challenges, please submit a CARE report or reach out to care@everettcc.edu.
