The Center for Transformative Teaching and eLearning
The Center empowers faculty professional growth through onboarding, technological workshops, teaching technique certifications, and consultations—all focused on increasing student success and equitable outcomes. Support includes training for Canvas, assessment design, anti-racist teaching practices, alternative grading strategies, and open educational practices. The department also partners directly with students on teaching and organizational development projects.

eLearning Support & Contact
Russell Day Gallery
Established by former faculty member Russell Day (1948–1974) to introduce varied artists, media, and movements to students, the gallery was renamed in his honor in 2008. The gallery focuses heavily on displaying works by artists from underrepresented groups and EvCC alumni, offering unique exhibits not typically found in other regional galleries.

The EvCC Library offers information, technology, and expert research assistance from faculty librarians to support student learning.
Available Resources & Spaces
- Physical & Digital Collections: Over 65,000 books, 6,500 media items, 180,000 eBooks, 85 print periodicals, and online access to 35,000 full-text periodicals.
- Technology: Over 100 computer workstations, campus Wi-Fi, photocopiers, black-and-white/color printers, scanners, and adaptive equipment for students with disabilities.
- Quarterly Technology Checkouts: Netbooks, Chromebooks, Wi-Fi hotspots, and graphing calculators.
- Study Spaces (3rd Floor): Individual and group tables, lounge areas, media viewing stations, and reservable/first-come study rooms.

Tutoring Center
Located in the Cascade Learning Resource Center (Rooms 104 and 105), the Tutoring Center offers a friendly, cost-free environment for enrolled students to master course content and build study skills.
Support Formats
- Drop-In Tutoring: One-on-one help with professional and peer tutors.
- Study Groups: Tutor-facilitated peer sessions.
- Embedded Tutoring: Supplemental instruction within specific courses.
- Online Tutoring: Available via the Northwest eTutoring Consortium.
- Center Technology: Computers loaded with instructional and STEM/Accounting software, plus helpful physical handouts.
Writing Center
Available both on-campus (Cascade Learning Resource Center) and online via Canvas, the Writing Center helps students build transferable editing and revision skills.
- Scope: Supports all writing projects across any subject, alongside resumes, personal statements, and scholarship essays.
- Cost: Free drop-in and online tutoring.
- Extra Resources: Dictionaries, grammar handbooks, textbooks, and writing handouts are available on-site.
The Create Space
The Create Space provides opportunities for self-directed learning, creativity, and student collaboration.
- High-Tech Tools: Access to specialized academic hardware and software.
- Low-Tech & Social: Relaxing, collaborative zones with tools for personalized crafts, club work, and group assignments.
- Community: Regularly hosts interactive campus events for students.
