MESA Program
Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA)
The MESA program at Everett Community College is rooted in equity, access, and opportunity. Our mission is to serve students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges or universities in pursuit of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) based degrees. As part of a nationally recognized academic support network, EvCC’s MESA program looks beyond traditional student populations to meet current, future, and global workforce demands in STEM fields.
Eligibility Requirements
To join the MESA program, students must meet the following criteria:
- Intend to earn a bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- Have a demonstrated financial and/or academic need
- Be a first-generation college student (or meet one of the other criteria above)
MESA Student Support Services
Participating students receive both individual and group support to help them reach their academic goals:
- Academic mentorship and transfer assistance
- Academic Excellence Workshops (organized study groups)
- University and industry campus visits
- Access to a dedicated on-campus study space
- A supportive peer and professional community
